BRIDGEWATER – Most of the items stolen in a burglary at the Bridgewater Mill Mall last Thursday have been recovered, according to state police.
The news came just hours before three suspects were to be arraigned in White River Junction on Monday, in connection with the heist.
Police are accusing Jakob Blanchard, 19, Dale Coughlin, 21, and Charles Bowen, 23, of breaking into the historic Mill Mall on Route 4. Investigators said the three suspects stole a cash register, beer and wine from Ramunto’s, cash and a space heater from Donna’s Hair Studio, and jewelry from a new store opened by Zoe Parent of Bridgewater. Blanchard was recorded on surveillance video from a security camera at Ramunto’s. This, and the fact that the three suspects live across the street from the Mill Mall, quickly led to their arrests.
A search warrant that allowed police to probe both apartments occupied by the three suspects led to other charges. Blanchard is also being charged with marijuana possession and heroin possession, and Bowen is facing a charge of narcotic possession, according to state police.
