Woodstock Chief of Police Robbie Blish said Wednesday that one more arrest has been made, and another is pending, in the recent rash of car burglaries in town. Most of the property has been recovered, he said, and the department is planning to issue a press release with more details Wednesday afternoon.
No damage was done to vehicles in any of the incidents, and the cars had all been left unlocked. Chief Blish says it’s what he calls a “crime of opportunity” and urges townspeople to take the precaution of locking their vehicles.
The 19-year old male who was the first suspect arrested in the break-ins has not been identified to the press at this time. It is not known whether those arrested were involved with the recent car break-ins in neighboring Hartford and Barnard.
