NORTH HARTLAND — A memorial services for Nicholas M. Newcity, 19, who died following a sudden illness on Aug. 9, 2011 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. was held Aug. 13 at the Windsor High School Auditorium.
He was born June 24, 1992 in Randolph, a son of Shawn and Nina (Tusher) Newcity.
Nick graduated from Windsor High School in June where he played linebacker as number 43 on the football team. He was a great sportsman and had a hard work ethic. He was eager to begin classes at Paul Smith’s College in New York in the fall.
Nick loved the outdoors including hunting, especially for turkey and deer. He got a 250-pound bear last fall and a 198-pound 8 point buck when was 13 with many turkeys in-between. He loved hunting camp in Norton, and spending time with all who went. His favorite color was Camo.
He is survived by his father, Shawn of Hartland; his mother, Nina of North Hartland; a brother, Shawn of Hartford; his paternal grandmother, Nora Newcity of Sharon; his maternal grandmother, Etta Tusher of West Plains, Mo.; a longtime girlfriend, Stephanie Demond of Windsor; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
