WINDSOR — A graveside committal service for Olive M. “Happy” Brothers, 92, a lifelong resident of Hartland, who died August 22, 2011 at the Skilled Nursing Facility at Mount Ascutney Hospital, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 3 p.m. in the Hartland Village Cemetery. Reverend Lucia Jackson, Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Hartland, will officiate. Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor on Friday, Aug. 26 from 6-8 p.m.
She was born February 24, 1919 in Hartland, the daughter of Ralph and Maude (White) Brothers.
Happy attended school in Hartland.
She worked on the family farm in Hartland for most of her life.
She enjoyed gardening and animals, and especially loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by three nephews, Stephen Brothers of Andover, NH, Gary Brothers of Weathersfield and David Royce of New Portland, ME, as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Happy was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Allen Brothers and Ralph “Bill” Brothers, and a sister, Louise Royce.
