Meeting: Business Recovery for Woodstock and Surrounding Towns

A two part meeting in Woodstock, Vermont on September 20th to focus on the specific needs of businesses in the Woodstock Area.

Part I: Financial and Physical Recovery, 2-3:30pm.
If you are confused by the alphabet soup of resources and agencies available, come talk to them face-to-face. Direct representatives of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), VEDA (Vermont Economic Development Authority), SBA (U.S. Small Business Administration), VtSBDC ( Vermont Small Business Development Center) will be on hand. Get information on available financing from various sources, as well processing insurance claims.

Part II: Tourism Marketing and Planning, 3:30-5:00pm

Megan Smith, Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Tourism, and a key representative of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce will discuss what they are doing to lure tourists back to Vermont in the wake of the flood. Find out what else is being done locally by the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and what you can do as a business through a Tourism Recovery Plan put together by the Woodstock Economic Development Commission.

Location: 2nd Floor of the Woodstock Town Hall in Woodstock, Vermont. This event is organized by the Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation, the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and the Woodstock Economic Development Commission. Invitees: Business owners and managers in the greater Woodstock Area.
