A two-alarm fire was quickly contained at the Hank Smith residence in Bridgewater, near the Woodstock line, just after 8:30 Saturday morning.
Crews from Woodstock, Bridgewater and Hartford were on the scene and, Woodstock’s Fire Chief Butch Sutherland said, it was a speedy response that contained the blaze quickly. Sutherland said that the fire apparently started in one of Smith’s antique cars that he kept in the barn.
