BARNARD – A celebration of life was held at the Royalton Academy Building on Feb. 25 for Alister Michael Howe, 18, who died unexpectedly at his sister’s home in Bethel on Feb. 20, 2012.
He was the son of Karen Howe of Bethel and Jeff Howe of Barnard.
He was born on Jan. 26, 1994 in Lebanon, N.H.
He leaves two sisters, Samantha and Elizabeth Howe; a half-sister, Jennifer Howe Homa and her husband, Adam Homa; two half-brothers, Jamie and Michael Howe; a niece, Lillie Homa; a nephew, Bradley Howe; grandparents, Roland and Gloria Potwin and Janice Northrup and Bill Howe; a great-grandmother, Marcia Perkins; his aunts, Aunnette Bucklin and her husband, Buck, Diane Potwin and fiancé, John, Bobbie Potwin, Lorrie Hicks, his uncle, Jeremy Potwin and aunt, Flossy Potwin; cousins, Ashley Potwin, Tessa Thompson, Justin, Brandon, Devin and Emily Messier, Jay Rondini, Joseph and Trevor Potwin, Jason, Sarah and Alex Hicks, Derek Merusi; and many great aunts, uncles and cousins.
Alister was so full of life, love, happiness and honor. He was so kind and caring, ready to give a helping hand. He loved to make people laugh and put a smile on your face. He would brighten up a room with his smile and bright blue eyes. He lived life to the fullest. He loved his family and friends very much. His two sisters Sam and Lizzy were his shinning stars. His best friends were his cousins: Brandon, who was a brother to him. His girlfriend, Jenne Morgan, Keith Coalston, Stephon Shenker and Kennedy. Alister enjoyed working on cars, etc., hands on fixing things, logging, running a chainsaw, going fast, jeeping with Jeremy and Brandon, mudding, dirt biking, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, anything outdoors, bonfires, camping, loud music and music festivals.
Alister, you are gone from our sight but not from our hearts and minds; you left us way too soon, we will always love you.
Loved by many, forgotten by none.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Boardway and Cilley Funeral Home in Chelsea.
