BAYONET POINT, Fla. — A service and burial will be held in Vermont at a later date for Carolyn C. Thorburn, 68, who died Jan. 25, 2012, at her residence in Bayonet Point.
She was born in Queens, N.Y. and arrived in the Bayonet Point area in 1995 coming from Quechee.
She worked as an administrative secretary for over 30-plus years at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Carolyn was of the Catholic faith, and was a Eucharistic minister and a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church. In her spare time, she was a member of the “Good Times” club, enjoyed playing cards and mahjong.
Survivors include four sons, Eugene of Windsor, Charles of Hartland, Phillip of Quechee and Richard of Claremont, N.H.; a daughter, Ann of Salem, N.H.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carolyn’s memory at: American Diabetes Association, Southwest Florida Association, 4902 Eisenhoser Blvd., Suite 295,Tampa, Fla. 33634.
