RUTLAND — Funeral services fore Margaret Carter Andrews, 90, who died Feb. 14, 2012 at Rutland Regional Medical center, following a long illness were held Feb. 17 at Christ the King Church in Rutland. Burial will be at a later date in the Pittsfield Cemetery.
She was born on Sept. 3, 1921 in Rochester, the daughter f Charles O. and Stella May (Powers) Carter.
She married Bertram Guerden “Mugs” Andrews on Nov. 14, 1942.
Mrs. Andrews was employed at glove factories in Rutland and Randolph and for several years by Toziers Restaurant.
In Pittsfield, she served as a school director and was a member of the Civic Club and St. Dennis Catholic Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Bowen of Mendon, Charleen Bowen of West Rut-land, and Marilyn Richardson of Barnard; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband in 2001 and by a brother, Elmer Carter.
