Reading Passes Town, School Budgets And Approves Pre-K

Saturday morning Reading’s proposed $525,000 town budget, an $25,000 increase over the current year, passed unanimously after a voice vote.
The $834,000 proposed school budget, a $17,000 increase over last year, included the addition of a Pre-K program, extending the kindergarten program from half-day to full-day and increasing the Principal’s hours from two days to three days a week.
