SOUTH ROYALTON — A funeral service for Evelyn E. “Bunny” Bullard, 79, who died June 23 at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph was held June 27 at the United Church of South Royalton. Rev. Sam Newton officiated. Burial was held in the Branchview Cemetery in South Royalton.
She was born Sept. 16, 1932 in Burlington, the daughter of Albert L. and Esther M. (Pelkey) Wagner.
She grew up in Randolph, where she attended school graduating in 1953 from Randolph High School.
On June 12, 1953 she married Charles “Charlie” Bullard. They lived most of their married life in South Royalton. In 1995 they moved to their camp on Lake Champlain in Bridport. Charlie died Jan. 20, 2005. In 2009 Bunny moved back to South Royalton to live with her daughter, Pat.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, weaving with plastic canvas, bowling and spending time at lake Champlain and on the computer. Her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters, Janet Reid of Norfolk, Va., Debbra Olszta of Oxford, mass., Patricia Thompson of South Royalton and Marie Joy of Roanoke, VA; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Coffee of Bristol and Nancy LaPerle of Randolph; and one sister-in-law Mary Jacobs of Randolph; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charlie; a son, Charles “Chip: Bullard in 1993; a brother, Lawrence Wagner; and a sister, Beatrice Wagner.
