BRIDGWATER — Memorial Services for Betty J. Wade, 69, who died August 17 at Hanover Terrace, Hanover, NH., will be held Friday, August 24 at 11 a.m. at the Oak Chapel in Bridgewater Center. Rev. Gary Parker, will officiate. Burial will be at Hancock Village Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
She was born January 20, 1943 in Hancock, VT; the daughter of Mark and Pauline (Claflin) Curtis.
She was raised in Hancock and had lived in Roxbury until moving to Bridgewater in 1994.
She was married to Ira Wade in Hancock in 1960.
Betty enjoyed traveling, yard sales, going to parties, and playing cards.
Survivors include her husband, Ira Wade of Bridgewater; a daughter, Robin; brothers, Arnold Curtis of Burlington, Leland Curtis of Barre, and Harlan Curtis of Hancock; sister, Lois McDonald of Randolph; two granddaughters, Emily and Megan.
Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
