Pomfret’s Moore Finishes 15th In Olympic Sailing Event

Trevor Moore of North Pomfret will not be one of the 10 two-man sailing teams in the men’s 49er medal race at the 2012 Olympics.

Moore, a 2003 Woodstock Union High School graduate, and his sailing partner Erik Storck finished in 15th place after finishes of 8th and 17th in Monday’s qualifying races. The top 10 teams qualified for the medal race, which is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 6.
