Vermont State Police reported a two-vehicle crash yesterday on Route 4 in Bridgewater.
Chelsea Graves, 24, of Virginia was stopped on US4 westbound when Kevin Gipe, 27, of Fairhaven collided with her car from behind. Gipe was driving a commercial box truck. Both fuel tanks ruptured, causing a small fire that Gipe extinguished himself. Bridgewater Fire Department responded to the diesel fuel spill and the Vermont State Hazmat team responded and cleaned up the spill.
Graves was transported to Rutland Regional hospital and released. Gipe was issued a ticket for causing the crash.
