Power Out For Thousands In Area

High sustained winds of more than 20 miles per hour are to blame for more than 5,000 outages in the state, according to a Green Mountain Power spokesman.

GMP is “ramping up” crews to address the thousands of outages in the state and Windsor County, GMP’s Jeremy Baker said. GMP expects those without power to be without it most of the night due to a severe weather threat in the area. The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for the area until 10 p.m.
