A state trooper and Woodstock resident suffered minor injuries from a single car accident while looking for suspects in a Grafton-area burglary Tuesday afternoon.

Trooper Nicholas Arlington was treated for injuries including bruises to his left hand, after his cruiser hydroplaned off the southbound lane of Route 35, struck a tree and spun out. The accident took place around 3 p.m. north of Grafton, during heavy rain and winds in the area. Arlington was traveling 50 miles per hour, according to police. Arlington was treated at Springfield Hospital. The cruiser had extensive front-end damage, state police said.

Police are still looking for the burglary suspects.
