The Red Cross is urging people to give blood and platelet donations and reports that more than 300 blood drives across the country had to be canceled because of the storm, leaving a shortfall of almost 9,000 units of blood.
People can make an appointment at the Red Cross web site at http://www.redcrossblood.org/hosting-blood-drive.
Also, a drive will be held Nov. 7 from noon until 5 p.m. at Alice Peck Day Hospital in Lebanon, NH and in Windsor at Windsor High School, Nov. 16 from 12:30 until 5:30 p.m.
