A memorial service for Robin L. LaRoche, 63, who died at her home surrounded by her family on Oct. 27, was held Oct. 30 at the South Congregational Church in Newport, N.H. Rev. Craig Cowing officiated.
Robin was born in Winstead, Conn., on Jan. 19, 1949, daughter of Mary E. Green (Robens) and the late Henry E. Green.
She was raised and educated in Connecticut and Massachusetts, graduating from Minnechaug High School in Wilbraham, Mass. She received her BA from Keene State College and later her Masters in teaching. Robin proudly taught in Newport for 30 years.
Her hobbies and activities included traveling, golfing (Robin was the Club Champion for many years at John H. Cain Country Club,) and going to sporting events for her daughter and grandchildren.
She is survived by her longtime partner; Eldon Thompson of Woodstock, her mother: Mary E. Green (Robens) of Concord, N.H.; her daughter, Cara White and husband, Brett White of Lebanon, N.H.; her brother, David Green of Boston, Mass.; a sister Robens Natolitan and her husband, Tom Kramer, of Sagle, Idaho; three grandchildren, Kelsey LaRoche, Julia and Hunter Tibbits.
Memorial donations may be made to the Robin LaRoche Scholarship Fund through Lake Sunapee Savings Bank.
