KMS Hiking Trail To Be Dedicated To Hasse Halley

November 3, 2012

in News

To recognize and remember her dedication to and passion for teaching, education and the future success of student-athletes, the community at Killington Mountain School will dedicate a chairlift “bench” and new hiking trail off River Road in Killington in memory of Hasse Halley on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m.
Halley passed away unexpectedly just more than a year ago, when she was hit by a motor vehicle while walking to the Woodstock Town Hall for post-Tropical Storm Irene volunteer work. Halley was an English teacher at KMS and the interim director of academics at the time of her passing.
Anyone who wishes to join in the ceremony may do so. Contact Smith at tsmith@killingtonmountainschool.org if interested.
