The Hammond Cove Shooting Range, a 100-yard range on state property, is open after some deliberation this summer over noise concerns.
Some residents on River Road in Plainfield, NH, which lies directly across the river from the range, asked Vermont Fish and Wildlife for a public hearing concerning the noise.
Use of the range is free to the public; improvements were made to the property by a National Rifle Association Public Range Grant and the Hartland Fish and Game Club, whose members will act as stewards to the property.
