The Green Mountain Club has announced completion of work on the Thundering Falls Boardwalk on the Killington section of the Appalachian Trail.
The boardwalk was severely damaged during Tropical Storm Irene. The US Forest Service, which in Vermont manages both the Green Mountain National Forest and all land belonging to the National Park Service section of the trail helped with the rebuilding.
At 140 feet, Thundering Falls is the sixth tallest waterfall in the state.
