At about 1 a.m. Saturday morning, Vermont State Police responded to the Killington Sports Outfitters on Route 4 and Killington Road for he report of a burglary. The encountered a man who had fallen asleep outside the store in back of the building. The man was wearing clothing that he’d stolen from inside the store.
It was discovered that the man, Richard Light, 28, of Staten Island, New York, gained entry by breaking a front window. Light was arrested and lodged for lack of bail, and is scheduled to appear in Rutland District Court today at 12:30 p.m.
