Former Vermont state legislator Edgar May died yesterday at 83.
Originally from Zurich, Switzerland, May was a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist during his time at the Buffalo Evening News, and served 18 years in the Vermont legislature. After retiring from politics, May was active in the town of Springfield’s community.
May’s sister, former Governor Madeline Kunin, told Vermont Public Radio that May died of a stroke.
