Senator Patrick Leahy Friday announced his intention to hold a hearing on the legalization of marijuana in Colorado and Washington, saying that “Legislative options exist to resolve the differences, but in order to give these options full consideration, the committee needs to understand how the administration intends to respond.”
Both states legalized possession of up to once once of marijuana for personal use.

As if I need another reason to love Vermont, my second home. Way to go!
It could be a good tax revenue, but even if it isn’t, not having to spend millions of tax payer dollars to prosecute something so minor would be worth it. Not sure what Jose thinks he means by saying Obama would vote “present.” Obama doesn’t vote on such matters. He only signs it into law or vetoes it. He can add his 2 cents worth even though his opinion means nothing.
It’s time for a change.. drinking is way worse. Let’s go forward on this!!
We already know that Obama is prepared to vote “present” in order to signal the federal response.
