KILLINGTON — Funeral services for Samuel L. Bogorad, 97, of North Palm Beach, Fla., and Killington, formerly Rochester, N.Y., who died Dec. 18, were held Dec. 23 at the Temple Shir Shalom in Woodstock. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Killington.

He was born on July 3, 1915, in Rochester, N.Y., the son of Solomon and Rebecca (Carpas) Bogorad.

Mr. Boforad graduated from the University of Illinois in 1938 with a degree in industrial engineering. Among the many jobs and interest he had in his long lifetime, he was the owner of the Seal Bag Co. in Rochester, N.Y., and North Hollywood, Calif.

While living in Vermont, Mr. Bogorad was a member of the Sherburne Fire Department, the Killington Rotary Club, the Masons and many other worthy organizations.

He is survived by his two daughters, Sima B. Smith and her husband Larry of Belle Mead, N.J., and Ruth Holz and her husband Richard of Greenwich, Conn., Four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Filler) Bogorad, in September 1999.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shir Shalom 493 Route 4, West Woodstock, 05091; or the Killington Fire and Rescue, PO Box 99, Killington, 05751.
