The Hartland Unitarian Universalist Church at Hartland Four Corners has received two grants, one from the Vermont Historical Preservation Society, toward the renovation of its steeple, bringing funds to $86,000. The goal of the group is to raise $100,000 to repair the 150-year old steeple, which is built with a unique structure using vertical boards and is one of only two church steeples in the state that use this structure. The steeple was damaged in a bad storm last summer. When the building was inspected last April, it was found that the spire was leaking and two to three feet of the upper spire had rotted off. The last repairs made to the steeple were in 1994

The church I went to my whole life got damaged a couple years ago and they had to get steeple restoration in Illinois to fix it! This has been really interesting thank you!
