A Winter Weather advisory is in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday. 3 to 6 inches of snow expected.

* LOCATIONS… CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN VERMONT.
* ACCUMULATIONS… 3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW.
* MAXIMUM SNOWFALL RATE… UP TO 1 INCH PER HOUR… MAINLY THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH EVENING.

* TIMING… SNOW WILL MOVE NORTHEASTWARD INTO CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN VERMONT THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL FALL THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING… AFFECTING THE EVENING COMMUTE.

* IMPACTS… HAZARDOUS TRAVEL WITH REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND SLICK ROAD CONDITIONS.
* WINDS… SOUTHEAST 5 TO 15 MPH.
* TEMPERATURES… HIGHS IN THE MID 20S. LOWS IN THE LOWER 20S.
* VISIBILITIES… DROPPING TO 3 MILES OR LESS IN SNOW THIS MORNING… FURTHER REDUCED TO 1 MILE OR LESS IN HEAVIER SNOW THIS AFTERNOON.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES… AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
