A wind chill advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. today. The National Weather Service in Burlington issued an advisory last night for much of Vermont.
The threat of frostbite and hypothermia has prompted the NWS to advise that those going outside for any extended period of time cover their head and limit exposed skin. Dressing in layers is also recommended.
