Keegan Bradley shot an 8-under 63 on Friday to briefly take the second-round lead of the Waste Management Phoenix Open. It’s the best round of Bradley’s PGA Tour career.
Bradley, who had seven birdies, an eagle and a bogey at the TPC Scottsdale course in Arizona, led Angel Cabrera and Phil Mickelson — who has yet to complete his second round — by one shot.
The Woodstock native has shot 64 twice, once at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational last year and also at the 2011 PGA Championship. He won both events.
Bradley has just one top 10 this year, a tie for fourth place at the small-field Hyundai Tournament of Champions. He missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open last week.
