Senator Kevin Mullin, R-Rutland County, introduced a bill Friday that would require those rescued after skiing out-of-bounds to pay a trespassing fine of up to $500.
Currently, out-of-bound skiers can be billed for rescues but most jurisdictions don’t push the fines as they don’t want lost skiers to hesitate to call for help.
