The Woodstock boys hockey team will face St. Johnsbury Academy in the first round of the Lake Division state tournament Saturday at Union Arena.

The Wasps beat St. Johnsbury, 3-2, at home Jan. 16, after losing to the Hilltoppers earlier in the season, 5-3, at St. Johnsbury. Saturday’s game is at 8 p.m.

Woodstock went 8-11 this season, and was on a three-game losing streak heading into a game against Burlington on Feb. 23. The Wasps won 9-1, gaining momentum into the playoffs.

The winner of the Saturday’s game will play at No. 1-seeded U-32 on Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. U-32 has just two losses this season.
