LEBANON, N.H. — A graveside service will be held at a later date in the springtime in the Christian Street Cemetery in White River Jct., for Cody A.B. Parker, 25, who died March 6 at his home after a year long battle with cancer.
He was born March 15, 1987, in Lebanon, N.H., the son of Bruce and Julie (Bomhower) Parker.
He grew up in Hartford and attended Hartford High School. After high school Cody worked for a short time in construction and then later at Jiffy Lube in West Lebanon, N.H. For the past several years he has worked as a bundler at Dartmouth Printing Company in Lebanon.
Because of his love for snowboarding he also kept a part-time job at Whaleback Ski Area, which entitled him to free riding when he wasn’t making snow.
When he was younger he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Cody absolutely loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the shooting sports including archery, snowboarding, skateboarding, paintball and riding his dirt bike. He had many trophies in archery. In 1995, following the tragic loss of his father and younger brother in an automobile accident, the Hartford Rod and Gun Club gave Cody a lifetime honorary membership, a gift he cherished and used on a regular basis. Cody also enjoyed cooking.
Most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family especially his two sons, Seth and Carter. He would give the shirt off his back if anyone asked him and will be remembered for all the help he gave friends and family alike.
Survivors include his wife, Randi Hamel-Parker of Lebanon; two sons, Seth A. Hamel-Parker and Carter Hamel-Parker of Lebanon, N.H.; his mother, Julie A. Bomhower of North Hartland; his grandmother and step-grandfather, Mary and Richard Labine of Middleburg, Fla.; his maternal grandfather, Harold Bomhower of Lebanon; aunt Cheryl Welch of Hartford; Uncle and Aunt Steve and Tammy Bombower of Hartford, cousins, Beau and Bree Bomhower of Hartford; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tammy and Randy “Panda” Severance of Hanover, N.H.; and Thomas Hamel of Enfield, N.H.
He was predeceased by his father, Bruce; and his brother, Curtis.
In lieu of flowers contributions for Cody may be mailed to Knight Funeral Home, PO Box 38, White River Jct., 05001.
