QUECHEE — A celebration of Life brunch will be on Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at the Hartland Recreational Center for Corey Daniels, 38, who died suddenly, on March 7 in Quechee.
He was born Feb. 24, 1975 in Berlin, the son of Ruth and David Brown and Leslie Daniels.
He lived in several areas of Vermont and briefly in Maine. Corey was raised by his mother and stepfather.
He was married to Crystal Crapsey on April 21, 1995 and was a graduate of Windsor, Class of 1997.
He continued to live in Windsor where he would do odd jobs and handyman work throughout the area
On March 6, 2007 Crystal died unexpectedly leaving Corey a full-time father.
He later remarried a close and long time friend, Belinda on Aug. 26, 2007. They later moved to Quechee where they have lived since.
Corey was a wonderful son constantly assisting with a sweet and caring nature whenever he was needed even without being asked. He always had a beautiful smile regardless of the personal hardships he may be facing. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. Corey was a member of the Boy Scouts of America; he was passionate about working on cars and was great with his hands, building computers and other technical things, reading, helping others, but most of all he loved to be with his family and most attentive to all their needs.
He is survived by his loving wife, Belinda Daniels; a son, Andrew Daniels, both of Quechee; two daughters, Elizabeth Daniels of Quechee and Vanessa Daniels, and her fiancé, Anthony Crowder and their daughter, Natalie of Nevada; his mother, Ruth Brown and her husband, David of Palm Bay, Florida, father, Leslie Daniels of Barre; a brother, Scott Brown of Fla., a sister, Heather Daniels of South Royalton; a step-son, Eric Canales of Quechee and step-daughter, Erica Canales of Massachusetts. Surviving grandparents are Marilyn Brown of St. Johnsbury, Faye Wardwall of Maine, and James Daniels of Barre.
He was predeceased by Wayne Brown of St. Johnsbury, Betty Daniels of Barre and Calvin Wardwell of Maine.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Daniels family to assist with expenses, c/o Belinda M. Daniels and Family Recovery Fund, 94 Twilight Court, White River Jct., 05001.
The Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction has assisted with arrangements.
