Easter Sunrise Services: Woodstock, Hartland, Pomfret

Hartland - Laurene Hammond’s (up the hill from Mike’s Store), Route 5
There will be a Maundy Thursday service at the Brick Church at 7 p.m. on Thursday. The Easter morning sunrise service will be at 6 a.m. on Sunday, followed by the Easter morning breakfast at the Brick Church. The sunrise service will be in Laurene Hammond’s yard, just up the hill from Mike’s Store on Route 5. Later on Easter morning there will be traditional worship services at 10 a.m. at the individual churches in town.

North Pomfret
Please join us at the North Pomfret Congregational United Church Christ
for a beautifully solemn Maundy Thursday service at 6PM. Then join us as
we celebrate Christ’s resurrection at our Sunrise Easter service on the
steps of the church at 6AM with a pot-luck breakfast to follow, or at
our 10:00 Easter service which will offer a fun egg hunt for children
following the service. We look forward to seeing you!

Woodstock – South Peak of Mount Tom
Description: Meet at Faulkner Park on Mountain Avenue in Woodstock village shortly after 6 AM for a 1.5 mile hike to the Mount Tom summit “cross and star” where the service will begin at 7 AM. Sturdy shoes, clothing appropriate for the weather, water to drink and a plastic bag to sit on are recommended. All are invited to an informal breakfast at 8 a.m. after the service at the First Congregational Church on Elm Street.
