RANDOLPH — Funeral Services for Estelle Therrien, 92, who died March 17 at Gifford Medical Center, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23 at the Green Mountain Gospel Chapel with Rev. Ronald E. Rilling officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Day Funeral Home.
She was born July 23, 1920 in Holyoke, Mass.; the daughter of Charles and Alexina (Saurrette) Voghell.
She was raised in Holyoke and came to Randolph in 1928.
She was married to Homer Therrien on Oct. 5, 1937 in Randolph, and lived in Connecticut until 1941. She and her husband bought a farm in Brookfield in 1943 where they lived until moving to Randolph in 1985. Homer died in 1985.
Estelle had worked at Van Raalte then as an inspector for Waterbury Plastics for 20 years until retiring in 1982. She was an active member of the Randolph Senior Center.
Survivors include two sons, Homer Therrien Jr. and wife, Sandy of North Berwick, Me. and Raymond Therrien and his wife, Nettie of Hudson Falls, N.Y.; four daughters, Helen Sabens of South Barre, Susan Smith and her husband, Fred of Three Rivers, Mass., Patricia Gaiko of Quechee, and Alyce Broulliard and her husband, Michael of Colchester; two daughter-in-laws, Gloria Therrien of Sharon and Cheryl Therrien of Bethel; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by two sons, Edmund and Roland; and 14 brothers and sisters.
