CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. —A graveside service will be held in the Taftsville Cemetery at a later date for Gladys M. Morrill, 82, who died Feb. 27 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, N.Y. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10 from 2-4 p.m. at the Cabot Funeral Home, in Woodstock.
Gladys was born on July 31, 1930 in Bridgewater, the daughter of Erwin E. and Gladys Arlene (Briggs) Campbell.
Gladys graduated from Windsor High School in 1948.
She worked for the Lewis Book Bindery in West Woodstock for 14 years and then for Thermal Dynamics in Lebanon, N.H. for 15 years.
She married Robert “Pete” Morrill on February 24, 1951 and lived in Taftsville. Mr. Morrill died on March 20, 1987. After that time she lived in Tucson, Ariz. In recent years Gladys had moved to Clifton Park, N.Y. to be closer to her daughter Nancy and family.
Gladys is survived by her daughter, Nancy and her husband Mark D. Johnston of Rexford, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Sarah (Johnston) Warren and Mark B. Johnston; and two great grandchildren, Logan and Lucas Warren; a sister, Muriel Hood of Ascutney; a brother William Campbell of Hartland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Jean in 1981.
