Special Olympics Vermont Winter Games was held in Woodstock, Vt. for the sixth consecutive year. Athletes competed in snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing and snowboarding, events included a “Victory Dance” held at the Woodstock Inn.
Governor Peter Shumlin was on hand for the opening ceremonies introduced by former NBC Newscaster Bob Hager.
Photos of many of the events from the weekend can be found in the March 14 edition of the Vermont Standard.
