Billings Farm and Museum opened for its 30th Anniversary on Saturday, April 27, and featured horse-drawn wagon rides, free ice cream, visitor plowing and more.

Visitors took a turn with the walking plow, pulled by the Billings’ draft horses. There was free ice cream for all and additional activities included horse-drawn wagon rides and making clothespin horses.

The Farm and Museum will be open daily through Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., every weekend, November to February and Christmas and Presidents’ weeks from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Billings Farm is a premiere Jersey dairy farm that continues a 142-year tradition of agricultural excellence and offers farm programs and historical exhibits that explore Vermont’s rural heritage and values. Please call 802-457-2355 for daily activities and programs and a list of seasonal events or visit the museum’s web site: www.billingsfarm.org.
