WHITE RIVER JCT. — Graveside services for Claudette 70, who died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 12, will be held June 1 at 12 noon at Ever Green Cemetery in South Strafford. A gathering is to follow the graveside service in Barnard at the home of Donna and Darryl Blodgett.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1942 in Massachusetts, the daughter of Clyde Clogston and Jessie (Rathburn) Clogston.
Survivors include three children, Donna Blodgett of Barnard, Collamer Welch, Jr. of Strafford and Kristie Welch of Vershire; two brothers, Wesley “Charlie” Clogston and Winston Clogston; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Gregory Welch; and a granddaughter, Jessie Welch; 13 brothers and sisters.
Claudette worked at MHMH for many years as a housekeeper and unit assistant, and then went to work at New England Industries where she retired. Claudette enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and two cats. She also enjoyed four-wheeling, snowmobiling, camping, yard sales, and cookouts.
