Howard Coffin will discuss his new book “Something Abides: Discovering the Civil War in Today’s Vermont” in the Dana Library at the Woodstock Historical Society Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Books will be available for purchase and autographing.

“Something Abides” is Coffin’s fourth book on Vermont and the Civil War.

“I feel very good about it, particularly because there’s never been anything done like it,” said Coffin in a recent interview about his newly released book, which took six years of research but was really 22 years in the making. “It’s nice to break new ground. I just hope all the ancestors are pleased.”
