BRIDGEWATER CENTER — A graveside service for Richard E. Frost, 64, who died at his home on April 28 surrounded by family, was held on May 1 in the Topliff Cemetery in Bridgewater.
Richard was born Feb. 22, 1949 in Rutland, son of Wesley and Florence (Earle) Frost.
Richard graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1967.
He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam earning a Purple Heart. Returning to Vermont he worked for Timberpeg and then later became a partner of Shaker Construction. He was currently employed by the Postal Service.
He enjoyed working with wood and was a master craftsman.
Richard was an enthusiastic World War II Historian and a dedicated Dale Earnhardt fan.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years Linda Lee (Adams) Frost of Bridgewater Center; a daughter Jennifer and husband Timothy Dean of Bridgewater Center; his father, Wesley Frost of Bridgewater; one sister Lois Taylor of St. Cloud, Fla; two brothers, W. David Frost and wife Martha of Jericho and Steve Frost and his fiancé Jane Maxham of Woodstock; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Florence Earle Frost.
