The Woodstock Village Trustees unanimously decided to terminate officer Jennifer Hutchins from the Woodstock Police Department after a 45-minute executive session Tuesday.

The Trustees would not comment the reason for executive session or the reason to terminate Hutchins, calling it a “personnel issue.”

The Trustees entered into executive session to protect Hutchins and any other employees that may be mentioned, they said.

Hutchins was not in attendance, neither was her lawyer. Deborah Bassett and Steve Thomas, Woodstock residents, spoke in favor of keeping Hutchins on the police department prior to executive session.
