Come join the yoga hike on the trail! Doing yoga while hiking is a meaningful way to connect with the elements of nature while moving more mindfully over the earth, and can really help reduce post-hiking stiffness.
To get your yoga on in nature, grab your boots and join us for the first of a series of Summer Yoga Hikes!
All levels of hikers and yogis. There will be modifications for newcomers to yoga and challenges for more advanced students. The hike does involve climbing uphill so a basic level of physical fitness is required.
We’ll be doing a short hike with trail yoga, along with a yoga warmup and cooldown. Yes, you can keep your boots on! And, to deepen the experience, we will incorporate periods of silence into our hike.
What to have: hiking boots, pants/shorts that you can stretch in, water, a towel or mat for post-hike relaxation, long sleeves and/or bug repellent
When: Saturday, June 15** at 9 am. Allow yourself 90 minutes for this event, so we should be finished by 10:30, more or less.
Where: Barnard, Vermont – we’ll be hiking a loop on private land off Route 12 going south towards Woodstock. I will provide specific directions when you sign up.
