Severe Thunderstorm Watch Until 11 p.m.; State Emergency Officials Issue Statement

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Woodstock area until 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Forecasters predict high winds and heavy rain until then — and the state Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is warning motorists to expect low visibility on roadways and downed trees.

At 5:20 p.m., there was a report of a downed power line in Killington near the Val Roc Motel on Route 4.

Power outages have also been reported in the storms. To report outages please call your power company.
