Loved Boating And His ’61 Studebaker; Power Squadron Member
WINDSOR — Graveside service for Bill Leck, 61, who died June 12 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. after a brief illness will be laid to rest in Meriden, Conn.
He was born on Feb. 27, 1952 in Meriden, Conn., son of William (deceased) and Arline (Chase) Leck.
Bill lived most of his life in Meriden, Conn. He attended Wilcox Tech for automotive.
He was married in 1977 to Diane Hamlin of Meriden, they were later divorced.
Bill worked at Cummings Construction Co., Rowland Enterprises in Wallingford and he operated his own same day trucking service.
Bill loved to go boating on the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound. He was a member of the Power Squadron. His second love was driving his ’61 Studebaker Lark all summer long to Cruise nights and Car Shows in Connecticut and Vermont.
Bill moved up to Vermont in 2007 to be with Donna and her family. He loved working on his car and taking long rides. He was a member of the CarNutz Car Club in Newport, N.H. Bill loved dogs, especially his beloved German shepherd, Doc.
Bill is survived by his mom, Arline Leck of Southington, Conn., Deborah Leck of California, Donna Peck of Windsor, Jason Tucker, Jacob Tucker and Zackery Tucker of Windsor, Kayla Tucker of Lexington, Okla., Scott Tucker of Hartland, Jordan Tucker of Wilder and Rozlyn Tucker of Avon, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in Bills name to Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth in Lebanon, N.H.
The Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction assisted with arrangements.
