With more rain in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday, the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the state of Vermont.

About 1-2 inches of rain could fall Monday evening, according to the NWS. Rivers and streams are already above normal levels due to heavy rains in the past week-and-a-half. The watch expires Tuesday, when forecasters expect another inch of rain.
