Woodstock resident Pamela Smith was arrested Wednesday morning for 107 counts of embezzlement from her former workplace, Woodstock’s Shire Motel.

Smith, 56, allegedly wrote checks to herself from the Shire Motel account and was electronically paying her own utilities and credit card bills, according to Woodstock Police Chief Robbie Blish. Smith, a bookkeeper at the motel, allegedly embezzled funds in excess of $200,000 from 2007-2013, Blish said.
