Staff Report

U.S. Border Patrol took custody of three people who were in the country illegally after the car they were in was pulled over by Woodstock police Friday afternoon.

Woodstock police stopped the vehicle after it was reported — by a phone call from an off-duty police officer — for driving erratically west of Woodstock, according to a release from the Woodstock Police Department. After talking with the three people, Woodstock Corporal Joe Swanson determined they were in the country illegally and contacted U.S. Border Patrol.

Where the three people came from and how they came into the country was not released.
