A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after his vehicle collided with a FedEx van in Barnard Friday afternoon.

Louis Ahlen, 75, of Woodstock was driving behind the FedEx van on Route 12 in Barnard. He attempted to pass the truck when the operator of the FedEx van, Mark Priestley, started to make a left-hand turn at the same time.
