KILLINGTON — Burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Rutland for David Malcolm Sergeant, 67, of Rochester Hills, Mich., and Killington, who died Aug. 1 in Killington.
He was born Jan. 27, 1946 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Malcolm and Lois (Clutter) Sergeant and grew up in Rutland.
He graduated high school in Cornwall, N.Y., and from Syracuse University in 1968.
Mr. Sergeant was employed as a strategic analyst for General Motors Corp. for 40 years, retiring in 2008.
He was a life member of the Rutland County Agricultural Society.
He enjoyed skiing, golf, traveling, reading, and was known as a movie buff.
Survivors include his wife, Michele Sergeant; a daughter, Carine Sergeant of New York; a son, Craig Sergeant of Massachusetts; three siblings, Linda Medeiros, Edmond Sergeant, both of Florida and Nancy Knott of Rhode Island; a granddaughter, nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Aldous Funeral Home.
